PLASTIC OCEAN PROJECT
I designed a two-sided placemat to educate children about the importance of caring for marine life and reducing plastic waste. My goal was to make the placemat stand out with appealing graphics and games, while maximizing educational content. On the back, I created a game that children could also play in real life to positively impact beaches.
Each week, I developed a uniquely themed calendar of curated events for UNCWilmington’s Campus Life Department. Over 200 copies were distributed around campus in the cafeterias and bathrooms. This calendar functioned as a funky addition to the main newsletter and broke away from the established branding of UNCW Campus Life. It allowed for playful, seasonal designs to capture students’ attention.
